Problems running programs under Windows 2000?

1. Hold down the CTL/ALT/DELETE buttons on your keyboard

2. Select TASK LIST

3. Click on the PROCESSES tab

4. Click on the item called WOWEXEC

5. Click on END PROCESS

6. Wait until it has disappeared from the list

7. Close the WINDOWS TASK MANAGER

I am having problems playing my sound. It is either distorted or will not play at all.
